Default CoolFlow Fan

I just got one installed on my 2015 SG, wife got 2nd degree burn from motor being so hot. So I had to look into something to keep hot air from her right leg, I went with CoolFlow fan. We have not tested it yet, been busy lately. I rode it to work and back few times but I cannot tell if it works or not. My bike is a bit loud so I can't hear it while running but it's loud when motor is not on as it should due to the powerful little motor that runs that fan. Mine is direct switch control from the dash panel like a picture TriDan posted.

I also have Love Jugs and UltraCool oil cooler sensor assist, when Love Jugs are spinning they push out quite a bit of hot air to the right side so I am sure that's what my wife was experiencing so hoping CoolFlow fan will redirect some of that to the bottom of the bike. Spent $410 installed so it better work as it should

410 bucks? Ouch. That is quite an array of cooling equipment you have on there besides the fan. But then again if the wifey is happy with the result, whatever you paid was worth it. Interested to hear what your wife thinks about the result. Hopefully the fan is strong enough to blow the heat down past her footboard. Looks pretty close.

What engine temps do you get with the jugs and oil cooler fan on hot days in stop and go?

My engine temp is around 266 on the hot days but normally it runs around 250...…..during long rides it can go up to 270 plus, the day my wife got her leg burned it reached 290 degree, one of the hottest day to ride and I was crazy. Without array of cooling fans I will only be able to ride during winter, engine will overheat constantly.

On my 2011 CVO Ultra I ride with the lower fairings on (panels uninstalled), have no oil cooler or other engine fans, but I only get to 260 on the hottest days. Could be you are running lean?

I am sure it's not running lean as it was Dyno'd after my engine was upgraded with S&S performance parts so higher compression motor runs a bit hotter than normal motors......it was highly recommended by the shop that built it to have oil cooler and air cooler fan to keep the heat tame....good thing I listen and went along with their suggestion.

Imagine how hot it would be without the cooling gear. Your goose would be cooked.

My 110" Stage III gets pretty hot to the point the wifey complains. I've been strongly considering the Cool Flow set up from HD. It would be great if somehow to hook it up with a heat sensing on/off set up, rather than just on/off by auxiliary switch. Anyone figured that out yet ?

I think there is an option to do that through the bike wiring AUX plug and set it to Auto mode on the Boom display, the only reason I went with my setup is due to not having another AUX plug on the left side to patch in through the bike as I am using it for my PowerVision so the shop wired it that way for me with some sort of splitter.

I have tried CoolFlow fan couple of times so far and I really can't tell if it's doing what it's supposed to do. I am still getting heat coming at my calf but I think that's because of the Love Jugs doing what's supposed to do. I really can't tell from my setup for sure, wife has not been on the bike with me since it was installed. We are going to Vegas Bike Fest in 2 weeks so we'll see then.
