What is the tolerance - horizontal movement for a 2014 Street Glide Special engine stabilizer bracket?
I am not having any luck in finding tolerance for horizontal movement; mine has about a 1/32 of an inch - I suspect there should not be any - service manual does not have information for checking. Mostly likely if this is bad its what is causing abnormal vibrations sporadically.
Just a guess, but if you're getting horizontal movement of the stabilizer link, either the fasteners need tightened and torqued to specification or the link needs replaced. I just checked mine and there is absolutely no horizontal movement on a '14 Limited with 52K miles.
GalvTexGuy thanks for suggestion.
I stopped by local harley dealer of cousre the stabilizer link was tright - he did say there maybe be moment but that could be because of bolts on bracket loosen up as you suggested - spot on. I will check bolts for proper torque - HD said to be careful not over tighten these bolts bolts as they break very easlly.
