I paid $800 for the CD lights on my Road Glide and money well spent. I have truck lite on my Road King and happy with them as well. The options for your Bat Wing is cheaper than the RG's.
I like custom Dynamics and they are right here in NC but I have a hard time dropping $500 for a headlight and I dont ride at night....
I don't ride at night either, but it's the dumb *** texter in in a little beater, that's not paying attention , and who doesn't care. That's why you have a LED .I still don't have LEDS, but looking into it.
I have the bike in for the 30k mile service at Smokin in WS. I heard back from the service writer that warranty on the fogging headlight was denied.
Oh well pretty much what was expected based on what others have reported. Ill make a headlight decision over the winter. Really stinks and makes me not want to spend the coin on the HD moving forward.
Just installed a Custom Dynamics Probeam. Pricey, but I did a lot of research, and I worked in the lighting industry a lifetime ago so I know something about reflectors, cutoff, and controlling the beam. Very impressed, and I think this is the best for the money. $500. I would have bought the adaptive ProBeam, but I will ride very little at night at my age.
And if $500 sounds bad, a friend of mine with a BMW just spent $1000 for his LED headlight, and I dont think its adaptive either.

Thanks, yes I believe Custom Dynamics is the way to go. I plan to ride over to their place in a few weeks and talk to them.

Looks good. Now you need the CD turn signals.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions.
Did they say why / on what basis?
I recently has an issue that the dealer thought should be repaired under warranty. H-D denied the claim.
I pushed-back... They claimed the issue was due to lack of maintenance. My records are meticulous. I noted that I followed the maintenance schedule. I also noted that I could not find anything specific in the maintenance schedule with respect to my issue in the Owner's manual or the Service manual. I asked for reconsideration / escalation. Voila. Free repair.
My point - politely push back. Ask for escalation. Get a hold of your regional rep (dealer can put you in contact with). Make your case respectfully and in writing
