Cool Help me decide.

I want to do bars on my cvo sg. I am having trouble deciding a a bar though. I have sat on 2 sg that have had 12” kst mayhem bars, 1 the bars were to far forward and really uncomfortable. The 2nd one felt a little better but still to far forward for my liking. I then sat on a sg with 10” kst mayhem bars and they still felt like they needed to be rolled back. Then sat on a sg with 10” monkey bars and they felt better than the kst. I’m also interested in the chubby 578 or even they fat bagger bars, just don’t know which way to go. I like my seat, just wanna bring they bar height up cause after a few hours I get pain in between my shoulder blades so hoping new bars would take care of that issue.

thanks

Something most overlook with bars on a SG, is the factory mirrors... please ask how I know... lol The deal is, if you plan on using the factory fairing mounted mirrors, you either need to go low or high with the bars. You'll need to view the mirrors over top the bars or underneath the bars. I'm 5'8' and I've been using 14" Vindikta SG bars for several years now. IMHO, they are more comfortable than the Monkey bars, it's a grip angle thing. The pain between the shoulder blades is the exact reason I changed bars as well. I have no complaints with the bars. I view the mirrors underneath the bars.

Good luck & hope this helps,
Shane

Thanks for the response, I know I will need to change the mirrors. I’m hoping the factory mirrors didn’t scratch the painted fairing to bad but will find out when I take them off.

If you haven't bought bars yet and are looking for more pullback and height check out the the khromewerks 2+2 narrow. Part#300519. They arent the fanciest looking bar but they gave me the pullback I wanted so I wasn't stretched out so far. Roughly 2 inches up and 2 inches back. I have shorter arms and they worked well for me. They don't make them in black so if your going that route you need to powder coat them. There are several threads on the forum from people who installed them.

Thanks, haven’t bought any bars yet. I’ll check into those as well.
