So I have an hd 3 pocket windshield bag that I really like. Problem I have is the crap/water that gets in between the bag and the windshield. I scratched up my windshield trying to clean the windshield behind the bag. Anyone else have this type of bag and what do you do to prevent this or clean/dry the windshield behind the bag?
I remove the windshield to clean when it's back home in the garage. Only takes a minute. I keep it super clean in there, now, I too have messed one up out on the road stuffing a rag down there and smearing grit all over the damn screen.

thanks man, I guess I will have to start doing that. Glad I'm not the only one who did that. Couldn't tell until the next day, and now I look at the scratches every day.

Yeah it was after riding through a nasty thunder storm in Missouri. The sun came out, and it was all sweaty and nasty looking down between there, and I couldn't wait. Scuffed the **** out of it.
The very shitty Kury bag I had definitely did. The latest version of the Harley bag does not ride against it. I have been through quite a few shields for various reasons, but the 2 that I run now are in good shape! No scratches, I just keep it clean. That Klockwerks screen in my sig pic has about 10k on it, now.
I like the HD 3 pocket bag, it never pops open at triple digit speeds, I keep stuff handy in there.
With the Kury bag, I had my registration and insurance in a ziplock in the center pocket, flying over a bridge over the Mississippi river when it came flying out of the pocket. That was fun.

I have the Kuryakyn 3 pocket dash bag, and it is indeed a piece of ****. Like you mentioned, magnets are weak and the bag will pop open and any light weight stuff will fly out. Only reason I ordered it from JP is because my HD Dealer were out of them. HD 3 pocket has much better magnets. Gonna pick up an HD one before my Montana trip and throw the Kury piece of **** in the trash where it belongs.
