I posted this in Audio Forum and nobody had heard of this problem? I have read here, other forums, online, etc. of the issue of some late model touring , maybe 12s to 18s, AVC not working or unnoticeable at best. I have the latest download version, 1.22.0.3 on my 17 Street Glide Special, Boom 6.5GT. The AVC does not work, anyone have a fix yet? I like the feature and would like it to work, not worrying about blowing speakers.
Thanks

Are you talking about the 4-level "Speed Volume"? If so, it's Very subtle in it's operation...that's what I've noticed anyway...setting it on #4 gives you the widest dynamic range between low volume and higher volume...I'd set it there (#4) and see if you notice it dropping down slightly when coming to a stop...

Different settings make no difference. I read one place to set lower than raise setting, it will work until you do a restart. I have to try that. I have not done a reset afraid might screw something up doing the update or have to take to dealer for reset. I will wait to see what others have to say but will call dealer soon.

It won’t screw with the firmware. I’ve done it several times. It’s sort of like rebooting a computer.
Edit - As far as the AVC issue, this is something that has been going on since the Boom 6.5GT was launched on the Rushmore bikes. In fact, it even affects the 4.3 radios.
