That Stealth heel shifter is very much like the Royal Enfield's heel shifter that I liked. Minimal, and it didn't interfere with bringing your foot back on the boarfd.

You can "roll your own" if you will. Use a standard shifter arm, but instead of big rubber heel shifter, use a bolt and a few washers or a small spacer. Something that like the Stealth heel shifter you'd catch with just the edge of your heel.

Same experience here. Removed it on my 04, removed it on my 08, left it on my 19 and wouldn’t be without it. I did go with an extended rear shifter set low so there’s not much interference or having to lift my heel high.

I damn near bought that Kuryaken Switch heel shifter (as much as I despise Kury) just to give it a try. It looks like a good compromise.
Then, in my search, I somehow ended up on the Thrashin' Supply website, and went with all new boards, levers, etc. so be careful!

I’m running 3/4” Kury board spacers and a Thrashin Supply shorty heel shifter tip with standard length OE levers. Adjust them as low as possible, fine tuning by adjusting the shift linkage.

I’ve run longer shift levers but this seems to provide for the least amount of foot movement to shift up or down. Size 14 boots. My heel stays on the board when downshifting and toe stays on the board upshifting.

I wasn't trying to malign your comments, or opinion.... Sorry if it came off that way..

I was just trying to point out that in my experience and what I have read suggests that "stomping" most often hurts the weak spots in the linkage before causing any damage to the transmission....

Yep "kicking it into gear" takes its toll on the linkage that's for sure

I am not sure what I like, but I like the hydraullic clutch. Like everything harley could fuc up an anvil though. I got a jap bike with the same fluid for over 20 years, and works fine. I am sure if should be changed. But no failures like harley. And it has a dial you can adjust it to what you want. Problem with harley is we are slave to cosmetics.

I have bleed brakes a few times, but I am still like a kid look at **** magazines nervous I will get caught, and let the fluid go low when flushing, or I will get it all over. Probably what concerns me the most is getting the fluid on paint. I am not sure if I am over worrying.

Ya I stomped when I first started using one cause I was clumsy oaff. Now it is tapping lever no different toe or heel. I think for some and myself at first you don't have muscle memory and you think about to much. Personally think the harley diagram in book makes it worse, BOLD LETTERS, back up, toe down. They are attached to each other.

I couldn't imagine using my toe with big floorboards and boots. having my boot under the shifter

Personally I think they are just being stumborn, or are not smart enough to picture a seesaw.

I got hooked on it, when I rode to work. So, that my Florsheim shoes didn’t get the tops all marked up. BTW, I’ve heard the history of the heel shifter was so LEOs didn’t mark up the top of their boots. Then it caught on…

To each his own. What kind of oil do you use?
