Funny ......my heel shifter peg just feel off also. I quickly replaced it, 100% useage. So much quicker and smoother shift

I might give that short peg a shot, AND the extenders. I bought the whole damn set from Thrashin', but did not do the extenders That was an expensive day!

I made the 150 mile ride from the dealer to the house on day 1, and could not get that damn heel shifter off fast enough. The wife was like "are you going to take your helmet off?"

Size 12 boot. It sucked, can't imagine you guys with the 13s

My last bike had a heel shift. Never used it. My Road King doesn't. I don't miss it. I guess as mentioned,.. To each their own.

As others have pointed out, I enjoy the extra room you get without the heel shift lever.. On really long rides I like the option of occasionally sliding my feet back so that my heels are hanging over the backs of the foot boards. The extra foot position helps ward off cramping/stiffness.

Tried it a few times......hate it!!
I find it really awkward.....I gotta change foot placement to engage it.
Is it just me?
Or is it as annoying as I've found it?
Gonna remove it when I get a second......just curious about you other folks.
Tx!
I been at'er for over 50 years now, maybe it's just our generation that never grew up with heel shifters. I never use mine to shift either. But I did find a good use for it on my long & faster rides, it keeps my foot from continually blowing back off of the footboard, that notion prompted me to make a neat little stopper on the back of my right foot board. Had this little thing powder coated, looks alright and sure gives my left leg a rest from fighting that 65mph + wind on long trips.

+1 heel shift lover. Chuck Norris removes the toe shifter.
