I took the UL in for the 10K service today. Should have been easy. Thye did the 3 hole change, swapped plugs and checked everything out. They tested the brake fluid and it showed it needed changing, so fine I let them do that too. But apparently, part of the 10K is to adjust the clutch. Well they F'd that up pretty bad. They gave it back to me the first time with the initial engagement point about 2/3 lever travel away from the grip. I hated it and asked them to put it back the way it was. They agued a bit at first and said that it how it's supposed to be and within spec. I convince them to adjust it again and they make it worse, now it's at 75% away from the grip and the clutch won't fully engage. Give it back again and they put it back to where it was the first time, about 2/3 out at the first hint of engagement. It seemed annoyingly far out at the first sign of bite but at least it seemed to fully engage. So I go home. On the way, while riding the highway in 6th gear, I roll into it at about 70 mph. The RPMs shoot up about 1000 RPM and the gear indicator changes to 5th without an actual shift! So the clutch is slipping and not fully engaged. I get home at about 7:00 pm after getting to the dealer at 11:00 am. Got my manual out and went through the adjustment procedure myself. Hadn't ever done it before, but I got it done. It's now back where I like it at about 1/3 out to initial bite and 75% out at full engagement with a little wiggle room at the top and bottom of the travel. I really don't care if this is out of HD spec or not, it works and it's where I like it.
Ahh .clutch my favorite topic ever since I bought my Harley I hate stiff clutch these bikes come with. I have made so many adjustments on mine its mind boggling. Different levers, Rekluse auto clutch and now on Muller + Oberon adjustable levers.
Im still not happy .but now I gave up and just ride the way it is. Its 70% better how I want it to be.
Funny part is, I followed the procedure in the manual and it got really close to what I wanted, just needed a bit of fine tuning. I'm not really sure how those guys could say it was within spec when it wouldn't even fully lock up. I only let them do the work because they threw in 3 years of maintenance when I bought it. So the only thing I paid for was the brake flush.

Basically, as long as the clutch mechanism is fully relaxed when the lever is released, and not so wildly off-spec that the ***** fall out of the ramps, you're fine and no damage will result.
I'm in the opposite camp. My RK was like most, obnoxious about finding neutral. Had to have a Lone Wolf Harley do some primary work on it, and they worked some sort of mysterious magic that neutral was now easily found, though the lever felt no different. According to them, they did no magic, just put it back together and adjusted normally. Almost tempted to take my latest bike on a ride there and let them do the same thing to it!😆

Their technician definitely helped with my hydraulic clutch issue. Jacks motorpsorts in Wenatchee did an awful job of installing Mueller slave cylinder. Took it lone Wolf Harley and they were able to fix that and other issue with the clutch.
