Bought a road glide couple years ago. Everyone said they were the best thing ever. Well, after riding it for two years I just dont like it. Found a 24 Ultra Limited and going back to the batwing. Dont really care much for the new redesign either. Just couldnt get the wind management the way I wanted on the Roadglide.
I am curious to try one. But what kept me away was people saying it doesn't protect your hands, especially with trend to higher bars. Which seems worse on FLTs
Hopefully we get past this trend of high bars. I went to a fairing for weather protection from a road king
Tall bars put your hands in the wind and often cover the nice fairing-mounted mirrors. I see a lot of riders with hand guards after they raise the bars up past the top of the fairing. I also see them dropping their arms all the time because of poor circulation to their hands when the bars are higher than their shoulders.
Me-Too murdered-out all-black bikes with Paul Yaffe bars everywhere. Saw thousands of them at Daytona last week. What ever happened to Free Thinking and individualism?
Also... Far too many way-too-loud bikes with no baffles and bad tunes or no tunes at all. Cracking, popping, and stinking up the place. Awful.
I know... I know... Adding a little fuel at idle lowers head temps but this was not the case...

ful.
wait until they get older, carpal tunel a such. I finally got the surgery. But I never could have handles those.
Where do you put your hands when driving? Myself the bottom mostly, just cause I like it. even the top of the streering wheel is not above my shoulders. If this was so great, why don't they make autos like this?
I could maybe use a little more pull back, but after all these years, I dunno

Others can put on higher bars. I do not have to do so. I am considering 2 inch taller bars on my 2019 FLHTP because of the seat height. But still below the fairing.

About center or lower, which is at or below my shoulders.
I am 5'-11" tall so the factory stock Rider Triangle is very good for me. I have long inseam so brake pedal could be out just a tad more but not enough to complain.
I had a 2002 Road King with tall Paul Yaffe bars and while the tall bars made it easy to manage the bike when going slow I did not like anything else about them.

.
This is my complaint about the new frame. I am not a huge guy, but I am cramped on my 2015. I quit using highway pegs years ago , but went back to them
