I guess i’m not sure what you are actually looking for.

OP - I want to make sure I fully understand what you want to do.
Since you have a 2022 SGS, and are using an Apple phone, you can add the carplay adapter under your fairing and all will work OK. In this case, your phone has to be connected to your USB cord.
To avoid that, you can install a wireless adapter that plugs into your USB cord - and that can fit right into your phone cubby.
So, my next question is - are you using a headset - and/or are you trying to connect to a wireless headset. If this is the case, you can install the J&M dongle - which by the way, includes the carplay dongle. You can then connect your bike directly to your wireless headset and use all of the bike's features.
Get back to us - let's see if we can help.

The rest of this is explained not knowing your experience level.
The GTS is CarPlay capable. Connect a headset/mic (a CarPlay requirement) to the bike, plug the iPhone into the USB, and be sure to"projection mode" is enabled in the GTS's settings, then CarPlay should be available on the head unit. For the GTS head unit, that's how it's designed to work. Next is how to get around the headset/mic requirement of Apple's CarPlay, it's for "handsfree" and just like your car/truck you have to have a mic in the system.
Don't have or want to use a headset?
On bikes with a headset jack (wired system) you can get one of these
https://logsdonaudio.com/search?q=carplay
and this gets you around the headset/mic requirement and are it is easy to remove if you want to use a headset/mic, but you still have to plug your iPhone into the USB.
If you have a bike with no headset/mic jack (and WHIM is not installed) you can get a "jumper" like this that plug into the bike's harness inside the faring to get around the headset/mic requirement
and this gets you around the headset/mic requirement, but you still have to plug your iPhone into the USB.
NOTE: neither of these "jumpers" will work if WHIM is enabled. You should know, sometimes WHIM is enabled on a bike even if the module has never been installed on the bike... and it may require somebody with diagnostic software to check to be sure WHIM is disabled, if you try these jumpers and it does not work.
There is a third way to get around the headset/mic requirement too, but it requires a third party diagnostic software (Digital Research Centurion, Diag4Bike, etc) to be able to go in and disable "CarPlay Mic Type". That disables the requirement for a mic to get CarPlay to be available, but if you occasionally want to use a headset, they will still work too. HD dealer's software (DigitalTech) cannot see this setting anymore, so it has to be done by a third party's software. This will get you around the headset/mic requirement too, but you still have to plug your iPhone into the USB. This is the method I use on my bikes because I have Diag4Bike.
Now, the "wireless CarPlay" is a second thing, and it is independent of the headset/mic requirement. It is just so that you do not have to plug the iPhone into the USB to get CarPlay to be available. You can get a Wireless CarPlay module and plug it into the bikes USB, the module is paired with your iPhone, and this makes the GTS think that the iPhone is plugged into the USB. There's a million different modules out there to choose from... I have been using this one in my trucks and bikes several years now and haven't had any issue with them, but again there are a ton of choices
Using one of these just make it where you don't have to plug your iPhone into the bikes USB.
On my last two bikes with the GTS head unit I have done both of these "hacks" (to get around needing a headset/mic and to get around having to plug my iPhone into the USB) and when I go out to take off on the bike I just throw my iPhone in a saddle bag or in a pocket, and CarPlay automatically is available on the GTS, same in my GMC truck.
If your bike has the WHIM module installed, it can get a little more involved to get around the headset/mic requirement....

I have the same bike, a 2022 RGL.
The easiest way I found was to make this part myself, suggested by my friend "Ssitruc." >> https://logsdonaudio.com/search?q=carplay
By connecting this part to the passenger's headphone jack, your bike will believe a headset is connected.
You just need to connect your phone via USB cable to the fairing compartment and then you can use CarPlay normally, with audio playing through the fairing speaker. There's no need to use the rider's wired headphones.
And.... With this setup, you will be able to use the handlebar controls normally.
