How many of you guys have bought this? And does it block the air coming out from the vent. I am 5'7 and would hate for the wind to be directed into my face. Any comments would help. Thanks
Kenny.... I had one on my 2011. Was considering one for my 14 - however, when I got the bike, the nice look of the fairing inside made me change my mind - and I decided to not get one.
I had one installed, but have not been able to ride it yet.
First, you can close the vent if you have a problem.
Second, it has a taper to it in the middle pouch to let the wind go up.
All that said, I have not ridden with it yet. So I don't know exactly how it will affect the wind. Then again, I won't know how it was without the bags to compare.
I got one put on the bike before I picked it up. Reading some of the other threads talking about the wind and buffeting, I played with the vent one day to see the difference, and there (obviously) is a difference with the vent open or close. Just for grins yesterday, I took the pouch off to see if it made any difference. It does make a pretty significant difference. Might just be the way the wind was blowing, but I could tell a big difference without the pouch. Going out tomorrow again, and I'll see. If, as I suspect, there is that big a difference, I won't be putting the pouch back on.

The vent makes a big difference especially with the stock windshield, with my height I much preferred the vent open and got almost no buffeting. I went with a slightly larger Clearview recurve shield and it's almost equal now vent open or closed although I still prefer it open. (Even with the 30-40 degree temps I've been riding in)
I've ridden mine several times with the new pouch, I'm 5'9" and at speeds above 65mph I do get some wind hitting me in the chin area, it's not bad, but noticable nonetheless.
As for the pouches, the 2 end pouches are to small and pretty much useless, you could put stuff like keys, lighter, change or something very small in them, the center pouch will hold one pair of glasses unlike the fairing pouch I had on my 09FLHT it would hold two pair of glasses and the end pouches were much bigger.
If I had it to do over I would not have purchased this fairing pouch, it cost more than what it's actually worth IMO. Hopefully the aftermarket will come out with a better one soon.
