Being new to posting on the forum, I was wanting to join in the fun of posting
the pix of my new Limited along with all the other proud owners of there new bikes. However mine is stripped naked. Many have done some some great things & I have enjoyed looking and reading all the posted in the forums here. So instead of updating on that thread, I saw that i could make a new thread that everyone could participate in, as someone else has already done with there build. I can say that the dealer and I have learned a few thing along the way with the new 2014's that may be of some use to others.
We started withe a Vivid Black Limited, knowing the the it was going to be repainted. The color and scheme is top secret for the moment until it,s complete. The First thing that was done was the removal of the luggage rack while it sat on the showroom floor. I already had the airfoil rack from the other bike & i was not about to buy it again. They put the other one on my trade-in. I hope I post these pix right. A member walked me through it.
Here is our new family member. She is in intensive care, but doing well. I called her " The Canvas " at this stage. Every detail is being payed attention to. She stared of life as a Vivid Black Limited, fresh from the crate, then she got shucked to the bones.
One of the type of pix I wanted was reference pix of the wiring harness with all components removed. Any future updates or additions will require a baseline to work from. I hope this pix helps.
Yes. One thing that will be done is the Klock Werks standard Egro Bars with everything wired internally, to include HD Slipstream heated grips. I have looked everywhere for good pix of this, but have found nothing yet. I believe this would be of interest to others. There are so many controbutions by others, it's time to make a few of my own. I don't know if it should be done on a different thread or not. I will be doing this latter next week, and then taking the assembly to the dealer. By the way, I love your pipes. I have fishtail V&H that I preserved from my other bike. They will be going on the new bike. I understand that V&H no longer make the slip-on's I have. The new style look like crap, with just a bolt on end cap.

While waiting on the paint, they began the transformation. Looking closely, you can see that a few things have been changed or added. There is a ways to go yet, but it's a start.
