Pic if you would please jcapps. Curious to see what yours looks like. Got the cable today and tried on the headphones. Haven't made my decision yet on headset. It's definitely for only long trips (more than a couple hours). I'm going to check out the IMC headset and I like the idea of the throat mic seeing as I wear a half helmet a majority of the time. I think the boom would be hard to hear just out in the open like that. Thanks for the info all.
I went down the 'replacing the tank console' route and used Ultra components. Just looks like an Ultra now with a Harley emblem on the console instead of the Street Glide insignia.
YOu have to buy the cable and wire it in. Very simple, have to remove outer fairing, seat, tank etc. I drilled out the dash panel and installed it there
Shortened the comm cable and put it in the USB compartment.
I use a Sena SMH10 all the time on conference calls. Works great, but you can not sync it to the infotainment system. Have to sync it directly to phone. I am thinking about getting an AKE Bluetooth adapter, and then sync phone to infotainment system, but not interested in being the guinea pig.

If you do this before I do please update us how it works. I just have other bills that are taking priority at the moment.
If it works I wonder if I could Y off the tank headset connector and run it into the tour pak.
I have not use either of those headsets for the phone. But I did pick up a throat mic and no one has a clue I am riding when I talk to them using it. It has a mono ear tube but I always have everything come through the speakers but if I remember correctly you can set it to have the phone come through the headset and not the speakers.
i bought one only problem is its two small for my neck it only goes up to a 15" neck I have a 18"

The one I bought is snug on my neck. I always thought it should be bigger but I didn't see anywhere that said anything about a size for them. It works fine as is but could be a little bigger. If I find any that mention larger sizes I will let you know. Please let me know if you find any.
