Just brought a 2014 Limited and was wondering if a Bushtec hitch off my 09 ultra will fit on the Limited...I thought I seen a post about this and cant find it..Hate to buy another if this one if this on will work.....Any info will be helpful...Thanks
I just installed a hitch and wiring harness on my 14 Ultra, and as stated previous model hitches will not work.I used a MCHITCH,hidden hitch.and openroad outfitters wiring harness
I've used these hitches on all my Harleys and have never had a issue with them, and as the name implies its hidden you have to get under the fender to see it and easy to install.I believe the wiring harness would've worked off the old bike. You don't need the converter only the isolator on the new bike.

Which MC-Hitch did you buy? According to their website - none of them will fit the 2014's?
And you can't use the old wiring harnesses on the newer 14's due to the different canbus electrical system that the 14's now have.
I just installed a open road outfitters hitch I my 14 limited and got the wire kit from electrical connection. Was the best price I could find and good quality. The install took about 2 hours but I was not in a hurry and did it alone. I think the whole thing cost about $450.

i called mchitch, they have them, cheaper from openroadoutfitters.com though. i don't see mc as "hidden" if the receiver is horizontal. Hey Christo is that pic McDaniels HD? Mike
I want to wait for a few miles due to not wanting to have any warrenty questions by the dealer. But, when I get to 1,000 miles in a month or so, I will put a McHitch on. I contacted them last year and he replied that they have them and to call and ask when I am ready.
The 2014 is different. I left my old one on the old bike when I sold it.

I bought mine from OpenRoadOutfitters as well, and I bought their wiring harness. They are the only ones I could find that had hitches that would work - got the recommendation from another member of the forum who's bike was the guinea pig.
RMC - that was taken at Hamilton Harley-Davidson in Sturgis, MI. I gave McD's a chance for the new one, they came close but no cigar.
