I've been running the Auto Tune since I installed the FP3. I reflash the ecm when I get home. After I flash the ecm, I take a screen shot on my phone and save it and compare it to the previous charts I had saved. This way I can track my progress from the first Auto Tune. I figure I will Auto Tune until it stops filling in the blocks. I understand that all the blocks may not fill, but I will try until I feel it's good enough. My starter button does act weird while trying to start sometimes too.

you have to press the start button when the security light is not red. I will blink on and off and if you press start while it's red nothing will happen, hit it went it blinks off.
Well, that is my assumption as well, but I have not tried it yet. I intend to later this week when I can get out there a bit. When you first go into autotune mode you have a choice of which base map to use. The first time, you can choose the map you have downloaded (you have to download and flash a map before autotune is available on menu) or you can start with a "blank" map. That is probably not a great idea unless your bike is bone stock. I am assuming that if i end the autotune session it will save a third map as the autotune results & if I start up again I can choose that one as the base and go from there. We will see and I will report back.
God I love tinkering with my bike.
Please report back and I will do the same if I discover anything that hasn't already been discussed...

Now that there is some good information. I noticed that I sometimes had to press start twice, but never connected it to the FP3.

Great idea. You guys are geniuses. Love this forum.
Hey, I had a chance to finally install and flash my ecm with the FP3. Runs good as I put a few miles on it today. I pulled the plugs and they are still white. But when you crack the throttle you see a little black smoke. Any other feedback from FP3 users? I have the fuel moto stage 1 intake, cobra power port header and Klock Werks SS slip ons. So I selected the V & H power duals, with their slip ons and standard baffle.

Ordered 1 Sunday after seeing there was a discount on Dennis Kirk in this forum. Installed today, took 10 minutes, and got to smell my bike running rich for the first time ever. Unfortunately, weather isn't cooperating to ride. Did idle for 10 minutes and head temp only went to 198.
They didn't have my pipes of course, so I selected something close with no baffle and set it too autotune. Looking forward to better weather but as of now I'm very impressed having tried other products with no success.
What is the code for the discount? How much was it? Thanks
This may be a dumb questions but if you run autotune and build a map. Then flash the ecm. Are you just flashing the same map that you just recorded? Think I did read somewhere that you can email the map to v&h and they can tweak it then send it back.
