Put the FP3 on last night, and just the SE filter kit and back plate. Keeping the stock cover for now, as it is new and identifiable as a '14. I'm sure I'll change it once the novelty wears off. Anyway-
Fuelpak was EASY. Still have stock mufflers so I gave my "best guess at a restricted system as a base map (stock is not an option). The bike actually ran great just from that, but then I chose to do a little auto-tuning on the ride to work this morning. I will do more in the next couple days, as I have to imagine the more variable conditions sampled, the more data the FP3 gets, the more complete and accurate your map will be. I'm speculating.
Only trouble I've had, connectivity. I've had to turn on/off several times to get the bluetooth talking. Theres probably a trick to it, i just havent had time to play with it too much.
So far, VERY pleased.
What was your geuss? I have stockpipes, and SE filter also, and was going to just autotune, but thats not an option... and dont want to be way off. Wonder why there isnt one, when most dealers say you "need" a tune with just the intake.....? Things that make ya go hmm....
Just got mine in the mail yesterday from kutter. They have it for 300.00 free shipping. Best price I have seen anywhere.
I hooked it up in and had my bike tuned in about 10 min. Very easy to use. I have RC Components exhaust, stock head pipe and screaming eagle agitator A/C. Seems to run better already.
No reason for me to use auto tune yet but I might down the road. I have power duals sitting in my garage and as soon as I install them, its a simple 5 minute process and it will be tuned again. Love this thing so far.
I have mine coming tomorrow. I was wondering the same thing as some others. I've used Mastertune before and that would learn a vtune session (You had to ride your bike in a certain way to try to get all the cells) and then you would create a map from the vtune data and flash the ecm. You would then run another vtune session off that flash and merge that with the map you created earlier, so forth and so on until you had enough cells green and a good map. It was a tedious process that went very easy on a dyno, but did work ok by just riding and logging data.
It looks like you just do 1 auto tune with the FP3 since I don't see any way to merge it with any maps that you create.
From what I've read that is not correct. I thought the cells that got populated from the Auto Mode will update those cells on your existing map that's running.

That is correct Dan....it will populate to whatever is currently flashed to the ECM
I'm installing RCX107c slip ons and a ness big sucker, so I guess it's a somewhat similar setup to yours. What did you select as your first map for your setup?

I have a little over 100 miles on the autotune; the weather here has not been good but I plan on getting another 100 miles on it this weekend then flash the ecm.

I have a similar setup with 4" RCX back slash slip on's and a Ness Big Sucker. What did you use as your base map?
Thanks for any help.
Installed new head pipes and used the Vance and Hines FP3 last night to down load a map. Went out today and the check engine light has come on. Only went a couple miles and bike seems to run ok. This is on a 2014 Ultra Limited. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
