I haven't had a chance to ride my '14 SGS yet this spring. I believe the fairing is different from previous years. My question is do bugs hit the front of the gas tank and if so will the fairing deflectors reduce or stop this from happing? No bugs out yet in ND!!!!!!!!!
Yeah I've polished a few bugs off my tank, but not too many.
But I'm considering installing the adjustable deflectors off the Ultra on my SG to help deflect just a bit more air. I think in combo with my Cee Bailey 7" screen it will be about perfect for me, airflow-wise.
Dealer quoted me about $65/side for the new-style deflectors.

$65 per side for the fairing air deflectors?
It's only three screws per side, do it your self.

I think this is referring to the cost of the deflectors from the 2014 Ultra - there's no kit for the street glide as of yet. I did the same thing, roughly the same amount of money for the special order. Previous year street glide air deflector kits will not work.
I got the 57200012 LH and 57200017 RH that goes on the fairing.
$49.00 each at Kutter. You have to buy the screws separately. Pack of 5 is $6.28. Of course you need 6 so 2 packages or buy them at the hardware store for way less. I think they are 10-24 X 5/8" long.
