The numbers vary according to the batch made. My 2 Harley caps had different #'s than 0834.

Gas Cap

Just bought the 2016 Ultra Limited Low and had to change the gas cap at 299 miles. At 1600 miles now and so far so good

Why will harley issue a recall? As long as we pay to replace these or file the piece of junk. They are laughing all the way to the bank.

It only takes a couple of minutes to run a file around the outside of the bottom of the cap. I did that yesterday, what a difference! Yes, it should have been right from the start, but come on, just break out the file. lol

I thought mine was working fine. But checked it last night and thought I'd do the file deal anyway. Must of been starting to get tight, because I could tell it went in easier. Harley needs to tighten up their Quality Control. Little stuff just never seems to end.

Thought it was me

I thought I had cross threaded my cap, so kept removing and trying it and seems to work ok, but is tight. Might do the emery paper to keep it smooth, my files are too rough. Thanks
