Another member posted this information on another thread, however that thread got off topic! After reading his comments about the stant 10834 I decided to try this. Figured can't be any worse then my stock cap, which needed two hands to remove! Best $3.70 I've spend on my expensive ultraclassic. I'm 40 miles one way from the nearest dealer and wasn't wasting my time to have him replace the cap with another piece of junk!!!!!!!
Just bought a new 2016 and have the same issue. Took the bike in to get the 1k service and they know there is a problem and have it order, since they ran out after replacing so many.
Just picked up a couple Stant's at my local Walmart. Figure for 3.50 might as well leave a spare in the garage. Night and day difference between it and the factory. I filed down my factory about a month ago, worked "good" for a couple weeks but started getting tight again. We'll see how long the Stant works for, hopefully it's a cap issue and not the neck deforming.

I just picked up the Stant cap today from Walmart. Seems to work well. I did notice that the Stant is made in the USA while the Harley cap is made in Mexico. The Stant also has a smoother clicking sound/feel compared to the Harley cap. But that could be because it's new and the replacement cap from Harley is over a year old.

Just bought mine too with the same issue, lucky for me the Dealer still had one in stock and said they have them on back order for any future Bikes with the same problem.
My stock gas cap is not marked 0834 (I noticed when I replaced it with the Stant). It seems to fit very well, but should I b e matching the number on the stock cap?
