As I get used to my new 14 Ultra Limited I was noticing what I considered to be low gas mileage. I was way short on what I expected to get. Of course I wasn't paying attention to how many gallons of gas was going into the tank to fill her.
Yesterday I filled up again after I let the gauge run down to empty and the light came on due to low gas level. After I filler her I noticed I had only put in 4.9 gallons. So basically I have 1.1 gallons still in the tank even though the gauge read empty.
Has anyone else noticed that with their Limited? Is it normal or is it time to bring her in for some maintenance?

Thats agrees to what I am finding. About 1 gallon left when light comes on.
I have run into the same thing on my 2014 SGS (6 gallon tank). Approximately 1 gallon is left when the idiot light pops on. The fuel gauge is bottomed out as empty.
As for my 07 Ultra (5 gallon tank), the gauge will not be fully empty when the idiot light comes on, but has less than 5 tenths of a gallon left.
Does your gauge still show full after you drive it for a few miles?
I've just noticed that I fill my tank to the bottom of the filler cup (while on the stand) and the gauge shows full, then drive 2 miles home and the gauge shows 3/4 full. I open the cap and look in the tank and can't even see the gas.
I'm wondering if there's some kind of baffling in the tank that is real slow, making it hard to top it off. I'm going to watch it closer next fillup...
As far as mileage, I'm getting low 40's and according to the trip computer I'm getting mid to upper 40's when I can stay out of traffic.
When the low fuel light goes on there is a milage indicator that appears within the speedo that shows how many miles are left till empty.
I have found there is about 40mi left which suggests there is about a gallon left.
I read on another post that after you fill it to the top that if you wiggle the bike the fuel level in the bike goes down and you can put more in. Can't find the original post tho sorry
I bump the bike when the gas reaches the top of the tank I can always get another 1/4 gallon in my gas gauge works fine also . I had a 11 and acts the same way as my 14
