I have the 14 ultra and my windshield is just a little bit too low. I didn't want to spend the money on a new one and find out I didn't like it.
I have an extra on off my 01 softail so I pulled the one off the ultra and laid it on top of the old one and traced the lower shape onto the softail one, giving about 1 1/2 inches more to the top. I sandwiched the shield between 2 pieces of thin wood and bolted it all together. I did have to trace the pattern on the top board to see where to cut.
I used a sabersaw to make the cut ,it fits perfectly. The top of the shield has a more rounded shape than the ultra one but I like the looks. Today I will test ride it, and if I like it I also have a smoked one from klockworks that I might modify.
