Just a heads up, I noticed today my front plug wire where it comes down from under the tank it was rubbing on the edge of the tank. There is a wear mark in the wire maybe 3/32" deep. Tried rotating the boot but no matter where you turn it, it will still rub. May have to pull the tank and zip tie somewhere. For now I wrapped some electrical tape around the spot.
Bike has 2700 miles on it.
On another note, I still haven't heard anything from MOCO or my dealer on the brake line recall. I have already pulled the tank, inspected, and zip tied the lines so I am confident it's good to go but still think I should have heard something by now...
Mine too. Thanks for posting. A little pressure will bend the conductor clip in the boot and allow clearance. Easy fix, but a significant issue if gone unnoticed. Thanks again for posting.
DAMN! Thanks for the heads up! Mine was seriously chaffed too at 8500 miles. I'm just heading out on a 3000 mile'r too!! I think I'll put a piece if fuel line around it in the morning...
EDIT: Just went out and did Wilson's fix...DUH, ya, way simple and a good fix.!! THANKS guys...

Great posting, I only have 1,900 miles on my SGS and yes it does show a wear point already. For now 'til I find something better, I just put the felt side of a velco strip on the tank tunnel where it was rubbing.... THANK FOR THE HEADS UP!

Your dealer/service dept may be getting some kits in first before they call owners and have a bunch of bikes show up and sit waiting on new ABS lines (if needed).
Good Find - Mine was chaffing the tank also (16,000 miles) so had some 5/16" fuel line (hose) and cut a 2" length and split it and put on the plug wire. Shouldn't be a problem now. - Thanks !!!
