From what I have read; Enabling the eitms is strictly for comfort, it does nothing for the bike. For that reason I prefer leaving the eitms disabled. The motor sounds and feels better firing on two cylinders. With the water cooled heads heat is not a issue. To each their own.
Where did I steal this from, oh Harley forum. Anyway, this is what it said,
"Read the manual last night so I thought I knew EITMS activates when engine temps are above 284 deg. Then noticed the radiatorfans not on. Thought this was odd. Went to dealer who called HD headquarters seeking answer.I think this is new for 2014 bikes. The EITMS activates when outside air temps are above 80 deg.Manual is misprinted."
I just can't believe that a Harley manual could have a misprint! Wait, yes I can.
