Has anyone had the problem where the shifter shaft has stripped out? headed out to work and when I went to hit 2nd, the toe shift lever was on the floor board. luckily I was in driveway and was able to pull back into garage. found the front arm that attaches to the shaft on the back side of the primary to the shift linkage rod had stripped out. I was able to rotate the shaft and get some new splines to grab between the 2. 10k service Wednesday and hoping dealer will replace.

The way it is posted or rather "implied" from your comment is that there is a correlation?
Did I read this wrong and were you offended by my question to you?

Well I'll tell you what Mr. Forum Policeman, perhaps you can get your panties unwound if you would take your neurosis and find something else to get wound up about. Maybe you should go actually RIDE your bike instead of posting on the forum so much before your neurosis becomes a psychosis. Be a lot cheaper than finding a psycho therapist to help you deal with your problem.
the arm that shares the shift lever and splined shaft. called dealer this am to make sure he'd have the part and he said they did and would swap out shaft and arm no problem.
