Bought my first HD last Sept, 14 ultra classic, besides the recalls I have had an oil leak fixed and now after 5200 mi. I have developed some unusual motor noise at idle and it is intermittent. I am taking to dealer soon. I don't notice anything at speed. It does not sound like it is coming from top end, more like a clunking sound. Any ideas?

Someone else had pointed out the "clunking sound" on the 2014 Ultra's, quite a few others chimed in that they have the same issue. Do a search as someone had a dealer agree they heard the noise and they were going to attempt to pinpoint the issue.
Sounds like the compensator in the primary case. There is a fix coming, testing is in the final stages at GMR Performance. The MoCo made the changes in their true form, and that is rush it and let the owners do the testing. Some CVO parts under warranty will help until then.
My previous bikes were metrics. Most recent was Yamaha Roadstar. Put 20k+ on it and never once had it to the dealer for any problem. I like this bike very much but this should not be happening after 5200 miles.
You probably have Syn 3 or something similar in your primary. Wanna get rid of the noise?? Dump that stuff and put in Formula +, the normal stuff, Mine went away just doing that
First off I feel like a complete dope. Before leaving for work I double checked the eitms setting and sure enough it was enabled. I did a 500 mile trip to NY this past weekend and apparently on my home on Sunday I must have inadvertently enabled it when turning off the cruise when I rolled back on the throttle.
My disappointment no longer valid with HD. I would kill the thread if I could. Thanks for the inputs.
