Xm boom box issue
Hope someone can tell me what is going on. I installed the xm add on a few months ago and found when we where at sturgis that it would become garbled after 30-45 minuets of working fine. If you shut the bike off for a few minuets it would work again for 30. I got a new xm unit thinking that was the problem because fm would always work when xm was dead. Guess what the new one does the same thing. Any ideas, thanks

I've had the XM unit on my bike since I bought it. I haven't had any issues other than the trees cutting out the signal once in a while. It sounds like the unit may be getting too hot or something. Good luck.

Does that only happen with XM? Have you tried just listening to FM radio, or music from a smart phone or a music stick for the same period of time? I ask because it sounds like it would be an amplifier issue, not a tuner issue.

Looks like you need to take another long ride and when it starts cutting out take it too the dealer they might not be able to fix it right away but at least they will see the problem exists . Just dropping off the bike to them isn't going to cut it unless they can duplicate the problem . I've never seen a dealer replace a part just on a customers complaints .
