Spoke with fjoh who walked me thru what it took to put lowers on the Sport Glide. A little time consuming and the use of a dremel helps, I was able to mount the lower clamp using a one inch connector and did not have to drill another hole. Lowers sit a little different then how they were designed. Sits behind the lower bar instead of on it, actually it maybe better if the bike goes over it will land on the bar with out the lowers hitting. Have not taken the bike out yet and know it's not for everyone , I thought the lowers may have looked to big, but now think th
ey look fine.
As stated above I haven't been out on the road with the lowers on. There appears to be enough room for me ( size 11 Shoe) the shifter really doesn't move that much and I worked it up and down in my driveway. Bigger possible problem from what I can see is the brake pedal. With the lowers in the closed position there is plenty of room for the travel of the pedal. With the baffle in the open position the pedal will contact the baffle, but because the baffle is suspended and not rigid your able to get the full brake travel. Hope this helps.
Looks really good !
Do you know who else makes batwing that would fit a Sport Glide?
I would like the front end of mine to look more like a Street Glide

when I began to look into a full fairing for my sport glide, there really wasnt any company that offered it...
Bought mine in mid October. No test ride (still without license) but knew it was to be as soon as I saw this model. After a few reads to confirm my suspicions I traded my Fxdli for the Sportglide. Effin fantastic!!! Busy with work and battling the weather has kept me at just under 1000miles to date. This is by far the most fun Ive had on two wheels. This bike fits me perfectly aside from reaching forward for the bars. I Can adjust my positions while riding but ultimately I think the 4 pull back stem will be the icing on the cake. Slow cruise or spirited giddy up this bike gets it! My only gripe so far is I cant get enough of my Sportglide. Ive ridden many brands, styles and years, my body and soul are always yearning for more miles on this one more than anything else. Snowmobiles used to be my favorite ride. That has changed. Im grateful for the opportunity to have all this varied seat time for 40+ years and thankful for the Harley brand and community.
