Has anyone found a detachable sissy bar that isnt through HD parts, or something other than cobra? I have a 2018 FLHC.
. I've been looking since August and cant find anything, other than cobra or HD. Nothing wrong with cobra, but I can't find any website that has the 14" round bar. And I dont wanna go with the square bar. But it's looking like that's my only option cause it seems the round bar has been "temporarily out of stock" since forever ago.
There are very limited after market accessories for the 2018+ softails. Maybe I'm just looking in all the wrong places.

I picked up my new ride yesterday. Just turned over 100 miles. Traded in my Lowrider S. This is a bit heavier, but I'm getting used to it fast. I'm 5' 10", 32" inseam' 165lbs. Seems like it fits me well. A little bit of turbulence at my modular helmet, but as I raised my left hand to check the airflow, it's mostly hitting the very top or just above my helmet at speed. Also some pants flappin going on, but hey, it's a motorcycle. I can dig it!

Very glad for this '18 Heritage thread. Would love to hear more about the motors. Mine is a 114 with a SE Torque cam with the proper SE ECU download. Only 200 or so miles with the cam and really enjoy the torque.
The 103 in my '14 Road King never used a drop of oil between changes no matter how hard I ran it ie the rev limiter was set at 6K R's and hit it all the time. I'm thinking my 114 Heritage might be using oil, now has about 2,200 miles.
What are you guys seeing? I am going to pull the Derby this morning to see what the level is.
seeing the same. My 103 used hardly any oil
maybe it is because of the oil cooler

Hey PDD,
Check these out on E-Bay. I just bought the complete setup including the luggage rack from Dream Machines in Dallas for half price on E-Bay, and they still have a H-D sissy bar with pad available, then there is the other listing for the complete setup, but his price is not a great bargain.

get you a set of fork mounted deflectors. That should take care of the wind buffeting on your helmet. Made a huge difference on my bike (2018 FLHC) and they really aren't an accessory that sticks out like a sore thumb. They come in chrome or black, and you can find some clear ones also if you look around online. Took only about 10 minutes to install.
Before you make the purchase, go for a ride and get up to speed. Place your left hand flat on your knee. Slide your hand forward about half way toward the front of your tank, keeping the edge of your hand against the tank. This should calm the buffeting down some, if so then these deflectors are what you need. But I can tell you from my personal experience this is what you need lol. They also keep a ton of bugs off your legs as well.
If you install them yourself, just pop off your windshield, take out the two bolts on each side the hold the windshield mounting grommets on and place the deflector to the outside of the grommet.
