I know my bike isn't the first to suffer from this, but what a pita.

I want to remove the amber reflectors from the forks? What's the best way to remove them?

I did not remove mine but I did not like the bright amber reflector either. Instead I purchased a spray can of smoke tint for plastic lenses and sprayed mine. They are now not very noticable but will still reflect a headlight shining on it which I considere a good thing.

You cant even see them in my sig pic on my Cherry. Will be doing the same to Big Sister soon.

"best" is always subjective...

How I did it; I used small fishing line, cut about 2-3ft long, tie ends together.
Holding the ends of the loop, twist them opposite directions, then use it like a saw.
It cuts right through the adhesive on the back of the emblems.
Then just use an adhesive remover for anything left on the sliders.

good luck,

T.

That's a bit concerning. I thought that only really affected bikes where hot and humid weather was the norm, like Florida. Are you going to take it in to your dealer?

I bought mine in Sept, '17 and it started doing it almost immediately. The first year it was about like yours, just an aggravation but I could still read everything. Lat fall it got to where it was covering that whole bottom window. Couldn't see gas gauge or anything else. After photo documentation from day 1, the dealership finally replaced it under warranty. So far so good. Good luck...take pics!

Any clearance issues with the JES fangs and the engine guard?
