Been wrestling around with changing the passenger pegs on my 2020 Heritage. I liked the HD Mini Boards (Part Number 50500109) but learned the M8 Softails had a new style Peg and the older Peg options were not compatible. DK Customs responded to a question i had in another thread and pointed me to their adapters:
http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/m8-s...m#!prettyPhoto

Here are my Before and After:

The Mini board was hitting the original peg mount preventing it from going all the way up into the folded up position. I was able to drop a couple size-appropriate washers inside between the board mount post and angle adjuster allen bolt to gain the space needed. It effectively brought the board out away from the peg a couple mm's needed to clear so they could be folder up or down as designed. Not an adapter issue, just a tweak needed for getting the mini boards I choose to work with the newer designed factory pegs.

Very happy with the results...

Has anyone retrofitted the external preload **** by chance? Seems like it would be an easy swap.

There is a thread on that, shock swap. They had to fabricate a bracket to hold the **** in place.

I embarked of the same search and came up empty handed. Decided on the Fat boy wind shield bag with the silver concho. I think it looks great, the chrome goes well with the windscreen brackets and the chrome bezel on the speedo. Suggest you visit your local dealer, take the Fat boy bag out to your bike and have a look for yourself. That's what I did and was pleasantly surprised at what I saw.

So, this is my first Harley and my previous Triumph Speedmaster had large floorboards with a brilliant heel/toe shifter. The heel shifter was positioned perfectly and did not interfere with foot clearance. With the Heritage, I've always felt my legs/feet were cramped. If you have a 107, the air cleaner is HUGE. The heel shifter from Harley is too short and cuts into foot space terribly. So after a little work, I can tell you I've now achieved heel/toe nirvana. First off, if you have a 107, consider moving to the Screamin' Eagle Ventilator (like on the 114). It 's AMAZING how much more room you get on the right side. Then, do yourself a favor and install the Kuryakyn Floorboard Extenders. It's shocking how much this quick, easy upgrade helps.

I installed the HD Heel Shifter Kit. It stinks that it only comes in chrome but you can powder coat it ($$$), order a black shift lever from HD (Part# 33600243 - $$$), or buy one off eBay for around $20. Also, I mounted the heel shifter on the inside so it's not in the way of the floorboard and I don't lose foot room.

Finally, I ordered an 2ź" extended shift lever. I got mine from eBay but you can get a 1˝" extended lever from Dennis Kirk as well. The 2ź" extended shift lever is PERFECT because it moves the peg behind the floorboard, and allows you to drop the position down so it's not sticking up so high. I'm VERY happy with the results and I'm just trying to determine whether to power coat it black, or use the chrome lever from the HD Heel Shifter kit for the toe and go all-chrome. Hope this is helpful!

Thanks for the info., I too have been looking for to do the same on my Heritage. IS it only the heel shifter that is extended length? For a reference can you tell my what size shoe you wear?

Thanks for finding these short 3/4" extensions. Others are all too wide for what I want.
The link to Dennis Kirk is for the same 8 1/2" Center to center lever arm Mid USA # 44217. On sale for $19.27
I'll put the chrome lever from the heel shifter kit on the front.

Does the heel shifter help you find neutral easier? I have hell sometimes finding neutral on my Heritage.
