Thanks buddies.
Here in France we do not have many manufacturers.
DNA Smoothy look fine.
I'm planning to modify the rear end of the Heritage to fit a 180.
It can be done without modifying swingarm or primary.
So I think basically a wheel set, new supports and new fender.
Hey guys !
Has anyone tried to mount the passing lamps on an engine guard ?
I admit I have no idea what to look for ...
CD, Ciro and others make LED driving lamps that can mount on the engine guard using a clamp made for that prupose. They are usually a small bucket style fixture similar to a bucket turn signal.
There are a number of other fixtures available that are a little larger in diameter. I installed a set of "VisionX" (extreamly bright) LED lamps on the egnine guard on my Heritage. You can find many lamps on Amazon and Ebay. Any can be installed using an appropriate clmp on the engine guard.
I think I have not been clear enough.
I'm looking to mount the stock passing lamps on an engine guard.
I already modified the front electrical harness when I mounted the turn signals on the handlebar (like on other Harleys)
Electrically speaking, it is now plug and play and I'll show you how I did when the install will be done.
But I have no idea how to manage to mount the stock passing lamps on the engine guard.
I would like to avoid to drill the lamp shell to pass the cables and can't figure what kind of clamp I could use to be able to use the hollow screw for tightening the assembly and passing the cable.
For Cyrius lights, I have an idea to mimic the tail lights under the bike and add turn signals on the saddlebag guards.
But that is for another project, maybe around next fall.
Last time I went out on my rig offshore, I left my scoot with the shop to perform some upgrades for me. Here's a 2-minute video of my 1st time seeing her when I got home. Couldn't be happier - She looks like a dream, pulls like a team of Clydesdale's on crystal meth, and sounds absolutely amazing. The video doesn't do near full justice:

Also, I had the guys at Tilley remove the front wheel right side chrome bowl. I know they were going for a retro-50's look to hark back to the drum brake hub days and it was nice. But to me it really detracted from the wheel; the bowl was a dirt magnet; how do you even clean behind it? I think removing the bowl really cleaned up the front end; I love the look. What do you think?
One of the techs at my local dealership fitted some Sporty 48 wheels on a Heritage as a mock up for a friend of mine last week as they are a straight fit, they looked okay.
