Took delivery of a '23 Heritage Classic a couple weeks ago. Best bike I've had I reckon! I had the 114 in a FXLRS back in 2020 but I just enjoy the more laid back ride of the Heritage. The other half prefers it too!!
Took the bags off for the photo but usually ride with them on. I know they're not everyone's favourite but having never had stock bags on a bike before, they work for me!
love the chrome version too, in black it's a real classic bike
if I had the same I would paint the side covers in black....
Do like the chrome. Much better than the blacked-out stuff on the current year models. The only thing I would change is the clear windshield. I prefer the blacked-out bottom version (mounted on chrome (or stainless?) frame - not the black).
I have an older all-chrome bike and a 19 Heritage - black trim. I was holding out for the 2022, 114 in all-chrome but I just couldn't justify the cost. So to be different, I found a nice used 19 in green. Black and chrome mix. I have gotten used to the black and actually it is a nice change. I will probably mix in some minor chrome trim here and there. But the engine guard and sissy bar are, of course, black to match. My OCD demands it be that way LOL It all works for me - especially since I decided to keep the old chrome bike. I can see them both in the garage and for short rides, I have my pick! The Heritage is, however, my go-to bike for all-day rides, especially involving mountains and long weekend trips.
I do like the look of the black-bottom windshield. I prefer being able to see the front tire in tight spaces, but I have gotten used to it.
Where did you order from? I might look into a new one as it would be good to have a shield that suits my height a bit better.
After looking at Forum Member's recommendations, I settled on ClearView Shields. They include height measuring instructions. They are in US, maybe it's better to look for a source in the UK?

Yes, the black bottom shields go with the blacked out bikes, style wise. I went with old style all chrome bike (because I'm old, dammit), so clear shield.
Just completed some custom work on the trim. (paint and vinyl wrap). Blacked out: Fender trim, shift link and transmission arm, passing lights bar, mirrors and levers. All LED Lights, halo front signals. Blacked out signal bar and trim.
Sorry if it's been asked and answered, but what bars are they? How do you feel they compare for comfort to the stock bars? I'm 5'11" for comparison.
