Yes I bought that rack and installed it on my HoldFast sissy bar that's on my '18 Heritage 114. No issues.

I have the standard height HD HoldFast sissy bar...

https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/e...ome/p/52300442

It doesn't matter if the HoldFast sissy bar is the standard or short height. Luggage rack is the same for both.

So, if you have a HD HoldFast sissy bar for the FLHCS, then this Amazon part is compatible.

Per your request... I measured my sissy bar width. It's ~ 9 3/4" in width.

Default Why the Heritage over the Road King?

Lauren’s winning..I’ve only got 5,500 on mine so far. Aside from the stage 2 I’ve been too busy riding to mod it really..plus it’s so good as is...fits me perfectly. Enjoy it.
Hey
I am looking at the 2023 Heritage and the new 2023 Road King Special
I've got a 2014 Road king and would like the perks on the new bikes with the M8 and traction control, etc.

What made you want to trade in your road king for the heritage? I will be test riding soon. I am 5'4" and 128 lbs - just completed a trip to Milwaukee on the Road King but when I get tired I seem to feel its too heavy for me. Any details you can give me would be so helpful. My other bike is a Triumph Speedmaster - easy and light and fast - but still love HD !

I also traded in a new '21 Road King for a '21 Heritage 114. Had the RK for a couple of months and just didn't enjoy it as much as the Heritage. I am 5'5", 28 inch inseam and 148 pounds. The RK seemed to control me at times but never the Heritage. Balanced, nimble, and I always felt I could make the bike do anything. Obviously, there are much more qualified riders that have more talent - can do anything on pavement and make it look easy. on a RK. Just too heavy for me and I even tried a Street Glide. All comfortable but the older I get, the more I want easy control and occasionally go on roads the heavier bikes just can't go.

All that said, I did trade the Street Glide in on a Pan America and that has been the most fun riding I have had since I was a maniac teen ager! It is a keeper and will go / do whatever I want.

In the end, they are all good for what each can decide what they want to do with their ride. Good luck and stay safe!

How is your reach to the ground with your inseam, on the Pan America? I sat on one once and it seemed pretty high.

Age can be a factor. At 77, the Heritage just feels more controlable.

First off, I got the SP which has the Adaptive Ride Height - there is an inch lower when stopped. I bought a Sargent low seat (very comfortable) and that lowered me another 3/4 inch. I did install a 1 inch lowering links kit. As an extra measure, I had a cobbler install an inch thick sole on my riding boots. so there is a total of almost 3 inches off of the published 32 inch seat height. After riding just over 6000 miles, I am perfectly comfortable, totally flat footed and happy. A point to make - I did not need to be perfectly flat footed for most rides. It is the necessity to have the gain on trails and off road that makes it more secure for my comfort level. For my weight and off road skill level (also happy with my limits) the reduction in clearance with the lowering links was insignificant. I will not be jumping logs and boulders.

I will say this - explore test ride the Pan America. There are so many ways to adjust / learn how to handle a higher bike for shorter riders if one is open to learn. Practice, as with all learning will overcome many obstacles. I doubted it all but am now a believer.

I'm 65 yrs old and 6'4". I went with a Heritage as the Ultra Limiteds were getting too heavy for me. The only downside is the vibration at highway speed compared to a rubber mounted motor. I do miss the smoothness of the big bikes, but not the weight. The HC does everything I want in a motorcycle at this stage of my life, the big cross country tours are behind me as I've covered all I want to do.
