It's cheaper, it doesnt require splicing, and all you really have to do is take off the rear fender to route the wires back.|
It can do Run Brake turn signal operation all by itself, so if you wanted to make it your only brake light system, you can.
I used some Sugru to double secure it to the fender, so that sombich aint going anywhere for decades.

$40 difference. I'm willing to pay that to have it attached by fasteners instead of tape. I also don't use those taps it comes with. I'm a solder and heat shrink kind of guy.
Is the custom dynamics one plug and play? Do they come with a "Y" to so you can plug in your existing lights? How do they work with the turn signals?
I have mine set up for a dedicated stop lamp so, I would add the center connector pin at the license plate light plug and run the wires.
I am also interested in your method of running the wires. The one side of the support has provisions for taillight wires. Is there a reason you didn't use them?

And I disagree with it looking better, I like the CD one better, which is why I got it. It integrates into the fender lines better. I didnt even know CD made this until actually went to buy the chromeglow one, and did some searching for a discount or something and came across the CD one.
CD one is completely plug and play and yes it runs with the stock lights.
Infact I actually have it wired up so that the lightbar itself operates as normal, and the brakelight flasher I have only operates on the outside signals.
The lightbar itself when plugged in standard just mimics the turn signals, it's divided in half.
I have a video uploaded of the operation below
IMO the only reason to get the chrome glow one is for the double row. If you dont want doublerow, get the CD one.
And if you want to secure that light forever get some sugru.
This stuff will hold it forever. It takes like an hour to really set so you can take your time to artfully mold it to look nice even though no one's ever gonna see under there.

Plug and play is nice... I would probably have to change the pin location because I want the extra run/brake. My signals are yellow and won't work with the brake.
plug and play would be the way to go. I just won't do the double sided tape on the edge of my fender ever again. On my wide glide, I had a taped light bar that pulled the paint off the fender when a road hazard hit the light. The tape didn't let go of the paint, so I had a bare metal strip that pulled off the very edge and could be seen.

Not even my tiny skinny arms and hands were able to get those cables mounted nicely with the fender on. I had to take it off.
Unless the Prior owner put in on, bike only had 1200 miles
