I ordered online in April, but they cancelled the order because my available balance went below the hold amount in September, even though there was still "18 weeks backorder." I then ordered through the dealership in October. I ordered the brake line in July. Both have a late May expected date.
I will cancel the brake line and order the appropriate aftermarket come may If there is still an issue.

I ordered the cruise control via the HD website last Feb. Has been on back order ever since. Saw in another thread that another poster ordered one from House of Flames in Germany and got it 2 weeks later. So I ordered the Cruise Control from there in Nov and got it last week.
I then went on HD's site and cancelled my order with them. They only take a credit card hold for the backordered items and that comes off the cc and then every so often they try it again to make sure the card is still good.
Says on the order page that you can cancel the order as long as it is still on backorder and hasn't shipped.
Did cost me a little bit more and also shipping...but at least I have it and can get it installed, and won't have to wait god knows how long before they take it off back order and actually ship it.
GL.

...and the following pic (mocked up very quickly in Paint) is to give an idea of what they will look like once I have the Wheel inserts painted and the Axle Covers matched

Wait how did the end cap come off? I was messing with it trying to figure out how it screwed off, and I didnt investigate much further.

Ah ha!
One end cap is fixed to the rod and has a collar which locates into the centre of the axle.
The other end has a collar that goes onto the rod, locates into the axle and is held in place by a nylon thread lock nut. The end cap then goes over the top of the collar and held in position with a grub screw.

Guys, I'm debating about replacement Spark Plug Wires for Rayearth, purely for aesthetic reasons, and I'm looking at 3 different options.
1. Screamin Eagle Orange(Fiery Orange) https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/e...nge/p/31600113
2. Magnum Shielding Candy Red steel woven. https://www.magnumshielding.com/Ignition-3047T
3. 409 PRO RACE Red from DKCustom Products. https://www.dkcustomproducts.com/409...softail-m8.htm

The SE Orange ones I think a touch of extra orange to compliment the orange pinstripes on Rayearth's paint, might be great to add more to the "Spirit of Fire" style touch. They're 60$ They're also 100% for sure going to be compatible and very unlikely to have any issues, made by HD for these engines, and they're 10mm. I am worried about the orange conflicting with the paint however. Some have said the black lettering falls off, which I won't care because text or not it's about the orange.

The 409 Reds are a 10mm(8.4mm internal) as well, and they have extra red touch on the outer spark plugs boots. They're 65$, and DKCustoms has used these and shown they are great performers. I am afraid though that they will look more like toy plastic and stand out against the bike's metallic finishes. I don't know how red they are though.
I skipped over the SE plug wires because they weren't a dark enough shade of red.

The Magnum Shielding may be the most aesthetically pleasing but they are the smallest diameter wires, and by far the most expensive at 105$ shipped.
I would have bought these already except I have seen 2 issues pop up with these so far. One, the wires are incredibly stiff so they do not curve around. And Two, I have seen some of these wires where the shielding wrap is coming out of the securing ring. They seem to have some Quality Control issues. I emailed Magnum a few times, and they have utterly ignored my emails about spark plug wires asking questions. I am annoyed and not sure If I wanna get a spotty product at a higher price, and then have to deal with a company that doesn't talk to their customers.

Trying to decide on Engine Guard for my 2019 Fat Boy

HogWorkz gives a little more lean in the curves, not that I am in the habit of coming close to scraping foot pegs or anything else
Anyone have these ?
I have seen other bars that stick out more from the lower mounting point
I looked at the mustache bars & slide bars, not what I want

Plan is to mount Custom Dynamics yellow fog lights down lower on the bars

I don't recall much about Hogworkz stuff

Cobra has a great crashbar too, chrome and black options:
https://cobrausa-vtwin.com/softailsr..._bar/601-2108/
More aggressive shape, good lean angle and clearance, will still let you mount highway pegs.
Lindby has a really impressive looking one too, chrome and black options.

TBH there really isn't a better bar than the bungking one if you want mounting space and drop/crash protection, as well as blending into the bike.
