Default Odometer problem

My 2018 Heritage has about 22,000 miles but suddenly it's up to 38,000 miles since I had it serviced about 8 weeks ago though I'm not saying the service caused the problem because I haven't been keeping track of it. I know I haven't ridden more than about 1500 miles since then. If I zero the trip counter those numbers are pretty crazy too doing about double what I am actually traveling.

Of course the warranty has expired but I did buy an extended warranty when the bike was new from HD.

Questions are:- what's causing this, can it be fixed and can the odomoter be put back to where it should be approximately otherwise I'll never be able to sell the bike one day!

Anybody else had this happen?

My guess is the service tech did it by accident. Just guessing here though.

Bottom left hand corner of odo should show 'mi' or 'km'. You can switch back and forth by push and hold odo switch for 5 seconds.

Google says 22,000 miles = 35405.568 kilometers
36,000 kilometers = 23612.105 miles
