I'm surprised the after market hasn't come up with something for this yet, or even Harley for that matter.

Hi folks, Ive recently purchased a 2023 Harley Fatboy and only had for 3 months but cannot stop Rusty water coming out of the diagonal swing Arm braces. Its coming out both sides and going all over the rear callipers wheels etc. There is 2 x dimple vent plugs which cannot be removed at the top of the tubes. I thought these should have been positioned at the bottom.
My concern is that the tubes are full of water due to the dimple vents being at the tops also the diagonal s are blanked at the bottom, The lower tubes have also 2 drain plugs on the underside tubes and as you would expect they are empty. I have contacted my local Harley agent and they have informed me they are aware of this issue and a Service bulletin was released TT413 saying it was just cosmetic concern and this can happen after washing or riding in wet conditions????. They also advised me not to wash the bike so often and if your riding in rain it will not help???????? Surely this is a design fault in Harley, has anyone had positive feed back from them on this because I’m still waiting for a reply.
I have also seen all the posts about drilling holes etc but I don’t think I want to go down that road after spending 23K . Ive also seen posts about spraying inside the Swing Arm with Anti Corrosion spray but this cannot be done with the Diagonal tubes because they are blanked at the bottom. The bottom tubes are not a problem because they have 2 open vent holes.
The bulletin also mentions about removing the belt guard but this has nothing too do with the other side because I don’t think there is a void between the 2 sides.
Is this covered under warranty ?? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Kev.

I bought a 2022 Fatboy and have the same issue! ..... I called the dealership and they have told me that I am not the only one with this issue. I have very rarely been out in the rain, with only 1 or 2 weekends where the bike has been sitting outside in wet weather. I called the dealership and they said that I am not the only one with this issue and that they have had 3 or 4 folks recently call them about it. They said that that swing arm is full of water and causing the rust. They have been told by Harley that they need to strip it down, flush it out and let it dry. Then inject the anti corrosion in to it and let it dry then build the bike back up. It is covered under my warranty (and i purchased the extended warranty) as he asked me to send him pictures as he needs to claim the cost back from them. It is booked in on Thursday, but I am not happy as the corrosion is now there and they are just sealing / covering it up. Surely the corrosion will still eat away? I sent this email to them but had no reply. Will see what they say on Thursday when I drop the bike off. But I will be contacting Trading Standards to see where I stand if they do not replace the parts as I do not just want it sealed and covered up. I have spent about 30k on mine with customisations and gear etc

Hope you get yours resolved!... will update you on how I get on.

I have attached the images as discussed.

On another note, I appreciate that the measures the dealership are taking will stop the corrosion becoming any worse but this does not change the fact the internal metal of this component has already had some metal material loss due to this corrosion. I purchased this bike brand new and did not expect to experience a problem like this a year after taking delivery. Surely this will have an impact in years to come?

I would like to request that this corroded part is replaced as opposed to cleaned and sealed to ensure my bike is kept in pristine condition I expect from Harley Davidson.
