Default Salva hd throttle controller

Hi has anybody installed or know of the new SALVA HD Throttle Control module. Been around for a long time on vehicles as it just changes the curve of the accelarator.

The unit is a plug and play with 5 settings. Middle setting is factory then 2 below deaden the response but the 2 above centre enhance throttle response. Italian product now being distributed in the US and Australia as well as all over Europe.

This technollogy is on a lot of manufactures bikes now but this one is designed for Harleys with Fly by Wire systems.

You can do that with a lot of the tuners!

My SEPST has options of changing what throttle angles correspond to what torque request.

I'm not sure what advantage having a plug n play device would give you other than having options for on the fly when I can just parameterize what I want in the ECM.

Interesting none the least.

I suppose the difference with the SALVA system is you have a dial control with 5 settings that are changed whilst on the bike and no programming invovoled. The middle setting is factory and the lowest setting is for when the roads are wet and it deadens the throttle. The highest setting changes the curve on the throttle and it is very much compared to a stage 4 output. The acceleration is compared with a sports bike response. Have been told if you have stages this only enhances the range.
I dont know too much about it but for the dollars outlay it seems to be very good. This technollogy has been around a long time in the automotive industry but bolt on systems to bikes is very new. Not sure if anybody on this forum has any experience with the SALVA system yet.

Maybe counterproductive ( and perhaps dangerous) to newer models with RDRS (and maybe those with torque management).

Yeah I concur, it's not worth the money. It adds zero power where as a tuner actually does.
