Any one have the DK Custom floorboards on your Sport Glide??. I'm wondering how hard to install, can you keep stock shifters and brake pedal stock. Do they hold there position with out slipping. I'm 200 lbs. For about $180 more I can get M8 Fat Boy boards, but would be more work and a lot of parts to order. Harley should have a Floorboards kit for the Sport Glide. but they don't.
Thank you, I seen that, that's how I found out about the Fat Boy boards. I wanted to get the floorboard Thread on the M8 site.
I would had thought by now Harley would have a kit set up with all the parts . Kind of a pain to go to the dealer and watch them try to figure out everything I need. I seen a parts list over there. But mu dealer will still fuc! around on the computer for ever.🙄
I cant find the dimensions on there site. Looks like about 4" X 6" ??? . Did you need a separate adapter or is it plug and play? Do you have trouble with the wind trying to lift your foot up at highway speeds? 😊

While you are correct that there are no direct kits specifically for the SG, swapping out the mounts and brackets for the parts from either the FatBoy or Heritage isnt that difficult. In reality its two bolts on each bracket, disconnect your shift linkage from left side and remove the rear brake pedal from the right and youre good. Yeah putting parts back together is a little more tedious but talking to a local independent shop, for them its a 1.5-2 hr job max. With a little bit or knowledge wrenching, you should be able to get it done in an afternoon. And going that route, the boards will be way more sturdy than just bolting on aftermarket boards to you peg mounts.

honestly, when I swapped my Fatboy from board to pegs, it was more like a 30 minute job.

I just sent a PM to you, I think. Did it from my phone. I have never done this before but I'm away from my computer. If you didn't get it I will send one later on my computer. Thanks.
Gary.
