Really considering to swap my low rider s for a fatboy, love the looks but want a more comfortable ride that also looks low/mean. Breakout from what I have heard is not that much better but the Fb is? I suppose those fat tires do make it plusher?
I couldnt make up my mind between the two. I went with the Low Rider S and love it to pieces. Then out of nowhere my wife asked about the other bike I fell in love with. That gave me the go ahead. I traded in the Ducati the next day and now I have both. Im the luckiest person I know, between the family and bikes.
And how would you compare the lrs to the fatboy? Would be very interesting to me to hear pros and cons of both. If not posted here, send me a pm pls.
I haven't really had them for long enough to make a solid decision about either of them. As far as how they are used right now... When I want to get somewhere quick or want to blast through the mountain pass, I'm on the LRS no question. The Fat Boy is my around town sled. Great get up and go, looks amazing, and super comfortable. Outside of that, they're both customizable in different ways in my head. I have a goal for each and I'm just now starting to inch toward those goals. What a burden on my shoulders. Haha!
After reviewing the dyno charts on Fuel Moto, I'm not overly impressed with the torque results for multiple listings of cam. Pipe. Tune (2-1 exhaust, SS cam, Wood cam, cyclorama etc) results average 125 torque.
Stock is significant imo around 105-107 @ the tire.
Thus, leaning towards keeping the factory warranty.
Dealer confirmed Rinehart slip on's, SE tuned keeps the warranty in tact.
Torque to the tire should be 110-115 which is fine IMO

I think you will be quite happy. FYI, my dealer tells me the slip ons without the tuner will not impact the warranty. I have not tuned it and she feels just a strong and runs just as well.
You may already know but you will need a new set of factory gaskets. The Rineharts don't come with them and getting the old ones out without destroying them is not going to happen.

What gaskets? I have the Vance and Hines slip on's, I loosened the clamp on the factory muffler, slid them off, slid the new one on and tighten the clamp. I didn't see any gaskets. The new mufflers were tight to get on and I certainly don't have any exhaust leaks.
With a bit of luck Rinehart slip on's will be in next week.
Im doing the SE tune too (decided to keep my warranty for a change)
The main reason is the bike is impressive bone stock, especially after riding the TC 88 since 2005.
In addition, after researching dyno charts on Fuel Moto I'm not impressed with the additional power of a 2-1 pipe, cam, flush my warranty dyno jet tune
