With a bit of luck Rinehart slip on's will be in next week.
Im doing the SE tune too (decided to keep my warranty for a change)
The main reason is the bike is impressive bone stock, especially after riding the TC 88 since 2005.
In addition, after researching dyno charts on Fuel Moto I'm not impressed with the additional power of a 2-1 pipe, cam, flush my warranty dyno jet tune
I made the same decision in a similar situation. Has worked out VERY well.
What gaskets? I have the Vance and Hines slip on's, I loosened the clamp on the factory muffler, slid them off, slid the new one on and tighten the clamp. I didn't see any gaskets. The new mufflers were tight to get on and I certainly don't have any exhaust leaks.

If you look at the stock pipes where you slid them off the header pipe you will see a metal looking lip on them. The gaskets are pressed into them. You will likely destroy them trying to pull them out the stock pipes. So if you took your slip ons and just slid them on the headers, it should have gone on really easy. You might really have an air leak. The gaskets are pressed into the slip ons. Its a really precise fit.

You will have to trust me on this since I did not take pictures or video of the installation. I hear the V&H either come with them or do not need them, the Rineharts do. HD p/n 65900017
That's my fav looking Harley. I just bought a Heritage for the comfort but on looks the FB wins IMO...
At first I didnt like the headlamp for the new fat boy. 6 months later it's my dream bike.
I'm hoping to buy a 2018 114(bike pictured in signature) here in a week, and then have it delivered by the beginning of october.
