Hi everyone, I just purchased a set of Straight jacket handlebar from KST kustoms and when I tried to fit the handlebars on the stock risers, the clamping area was a bit narrow. Anyone else run into this issue? If so ,what was your work around ? New risers? filed down the edges of the clamp area ? Any insight is appropriated.

Rubber side down brothers. GOD bless.
Photos always help - But I'll say this - Check that all is right with your new bars according to the KST specs - specifically what they say the clamp area is/should be.
Work Around? - If the clamp area is too narrow for your stock riser, I would consider replacing the riser. I wouldn't recommend cutting into those bars as you could create weak points right where you are connecting to the ride - and broken bars are never fun.
Id call KST. I had good luck with the two sets Ive bought for my SG. Shipping bars is not cheap. Better to be on their dime if something is wrong with them.
I specifically E-Mailed them last week and asked them that very question. I guy named Ret Tolleson replied and told me the stock risers/clamps will work fine with those exact bars! You should call them asap, they seem to be good dudes.
