Default Tuner needed?

On a 2020 Fatboy if I install a Vance & Hines Pro Pipe?

Yes. Pro pipe is a complete exhaust with headers and all. If you want your bike to run optimally you’ll need a tuner. Get a powervision from fuel moto and let them know what setup you’re running and they will preload the tune onto the tuner before they send it out. They will also send you other tunes free of charge if you decide to change stuff up on your bike if you buy the tuner from them

And say “goodbye” to your warranty unless you use the H-D tuner

Thanks. I just talked to my Indy shop and they will install the pipe and tune it with their Power Vision tuner.

And yes, I am aware about the loss of warranty - I am having different headers, etc. installed on the new Porsche I have ordered as soon as it arrives next month. Porsche and Harleys are bullet-proof as long as one does not get too carried away!

God, I so wish that were really true! After 6 bad inner primary bearings, and a cracked crankshaft.... I'm not so optimistic.

No..in my opinion. Keep the takeoff parts. You may just get interested in a good ride some day.

Im of the belief that a tuner is required even for a bone stock bike. The EPA emissions mandates require all vehicles that are sold in the United States be compliant. The only way to meet these standards are for all automotive manufactures to tune their engines with lean air fuel ratios. There are gains to be had by tuning, even on a stock motorcycle!!!
If you purchase any performance enhancement, and you dont tune it, you are leaving HP on the table, and could be making an already lean condition even worse.
