Ordered a new speedo today from Tallahassee Harley. Had to drive 75 miles to the dealer to prove it. The service guy said he'd had five cases of fogging. He didn't know what, if anything, the new speedo did for those five guys.
Apparently, a lot of guys are ordering new speedos because of this BS, because the guy told me there was a ton of back-ordering. He doesn't expect mine to get here til November. I was thinking about getting one of those Dakota speedos, but yow - $500!
I'm not paying $500 for their screw-up.
Tip: If you go to the dealer for this, make sure you tell them all the fogging caused a stain. Apparently that makes a big difference to reluctant dealers.
Will not drill holes for Harley's problem , I will be reporting them to the U.S. Dept. of Transportation as a possible safety issues because I cannot see the speedo's numbers and never no my speed .
