Still fairly new to the 2018+ Softail threads, so if this has been done before, I apologize but have not seen it. I love threads showing what mods or changes members have done to their bikes. The old Softail forum has this thread, and I figured we need to start showing what everyone has done to the M8 softails. Post pics of before and after, as many pics as you need.
I had a 20 Heritage and loved the handling and performance but couldnt get passed the lack of room in the saddle bags. Went back to a bagger mainly for that reason.
I hear a lot of people complain about this. I have never had a bike with bags or shield before this - most bag space I ever had was a swingarm bag. So the Heritage bags are working just fine for me.
Brian15, how you like the fangs? That might be next thing I do. I get a lot of wind coming up and lifting shirt - worse than I ever had on bikes with no shield. Not a problem when I wear a vest, but I would like to reduce buffeting some.

I felt the same way. I went the Iron Bags route and couldn't be happier.
Different strokes.

The fangs work great. I wear glasses, so updraft made my glasses bounce around. The fangs solved the problem. I took them off my 2015 Slim, drilled one new mounting hole in each, and they fit great.
After...Nothing dramatic... Grips, mirrors, sissy bar, slip on's, passenger mini boards, oil pressure gauge, other side has a swing arm bag, brake pedal, Metzler Cruisetec tires, tinted front lenses, Custom Dynamics rear lighting, axle covers and flush gas cap. My favorite is the front axle covers, hardware store stainless steel caps.
