V&H FP4 tuner?
few updates on this...
1. spoke to V&H and they 100% are working on a tune for the '22 models and will have it soon if not already. you simply call in and ask...same goes for custom tunes and getting mapping for specific pipes, etc.
I HIGHLY doubt CA ECU's make ANY difference at all.
2. I have a company that will ship non-CARB legal stuff direct and for killer pricing. I bought a high-pipe thunderheader (I lucked the **** out and they had a single in stock. people are facing 4-6 month+ waits) AND my FP4 shipped directly to me in CA, no questions asked.
DM me for details...not trying to blow anyones deal up.
Other than the usual should have not bought it responses .. and clue as to what is going on? Using Android S20
Thanks everyone.
also V&H has updated the app and just got back my custom map from them directly. runs great.
I flashed the my LRST with "stainless 2-1 hi-output" and ran the bike for a couple weeks. then uploaded it to them.
they made some tweaks and sent it back and it's noticeably different. very happy so far. they want me to put a couple tanks of gas thru it first and then let them know.
I'm still also breaking the bike in, trying to stay under 3500 RPM for the first 1000 miles.
in the coming months we'll be able to make more customizations to it like decal pop, throttle sensitivity, etc. per them, as the app progresses.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I found the problem and will post it here so it may help other.
Of course no instructions come with this FP4 so i went on V&H website to watch videos. I also watched other videos. My problem was that i was doing as told by turning the ignition swotch to the ignition position. That was correct but they did not mention to switch on the run button (and of course do not start the bike). Once i clicked on the run button the update slowly but surely inch by inch...one number per every 4 seconds reached 100. I then put in my pipes and baffles and found a map and flashed it in. I thought that it would ask for the air cleaner option but it didn't. I realize that most of the newer bikes come stock with a hi flow AC but mine being a 2012 I'm not sure they came from factory with a performance AC on them. I now have an S&S AC on the bike. So now I have my first map in the bike and I set it to auto tune but cannot ride tonight as we are having a rain storm. But tomorrow I shall ride. The warning sign comes up and reminds me that the bike will not run great in auto tune mode until you flash the adjustments that are learned while riding through 3 tanks of gas. Who wants to ride a crappy running bike for that long..🤪🤪🤪
I also read you can apply found adjustments anytime you want (each time you ride) and start the auto tune over each time. But they recommend going as long as you can stand it before hitting the learn / flash button. The FP4 is looking for as much info on how you ride as it can get. So the pack stays in the bike as long as you want to auto tune and you can either leave it in forever or take it out. I will leave mine in because you can watch live info feed as you ride like torque and hp... engine Temps and about 30 other things. Hope this helps and I will update after auto tune is completed.
