I recently purchased a Vance and Hines big shots exhaust system for my 2022 Lowrider S. I’m told the only way to keep my warranty is to install a screaming eagle tuner.
I’ve never installed a tuner and the gentleman down at the dealership said I could bring it in and have them tune the bike.
Question 1: will Screming Eagle tuner work with Vance and Hines pipes?
Question 2: Is the tuner install and tuning the bike something anyone could do or does it need to be a Harley mechanic?
With the M8 you really don't need a tuner especially if your only changing out the exhaust system.
Yes, it will work with the V&H exhaust system. It is a plug and play unit and you can do it yourself if your doing just a can tune. Only reason the dealer would install a tune is if they will be dyno tuning it.

thanks for your help in advance.
1. Yes, it'll work for just exhaust. The tuner will account for unique VE of those pipes and make the adjustments to the map. 2. All the tuner is doing is connecting and communicating to the ECM's CAN network. This isn't a perma thing installed on the bike like some tuners. You can do alot of reading/learning yourself if you are fairly computer-literate and understand the concept, therefore, you don't need to be a "harley" mechanic.
Couple of side notes. If the concern is with your warranty, I would ask the dealer if installing aftermarket exhaust will "void" your warranty.
Also, there is a designated sub-forum for tuning. I would suggest posting your next "tuner" questions there, if you haven't done so already. Here:https://www.hdforums.com/forum/the-dyno-room-190/
You might want to seriously look into what Hulkss said. Your dealer might honor the warranty, but if a factory rep has to look at the bike, or you have to have service or repair at another dealer while on the road, your warranty is gone. As long as your aware of that info, do want you want. I personally would get a PV. HD tuners are stuck with epa regulations, but for warranty purposes hd tuner is the only way.
