update on my GENIUS plan...
you guys can all thank me later! if you do this @/tag me and show some love/credit ****ers!

how nasty does this look? Laminar makes a million lips too. you can play around and try different fitments for diff bikes. this is good enough for me for now.
it's slightly less effective as the other but actually looks good and does help a lot over stock...if it wasn’t for clearview, I’d be running this indefinitely.

I 100% passed on Klockwerks btw...working with CW on a few ideas/concepts and will report back as that unfolds over the next couple months.

wow. It looks spectacular. What exhaust is that? Any problem with the bag support?

I have ordered the long screen from H-D

Yeah I ordered all the parts for the bags from my dealer and put them together myself. It was about $2,000 if I remember correctly but I ordered the color matched outer shells.

You passed on it and I have it shipped and on the way. Different strokes. I wouldn't run your setup at all.

Glenn, we need a report on that Klockwerks ASAP!

Stock shield was awful, as reported by me months ago and everyone else since. I have the HD 10" on mine, that was my temporary solution to at least be able to ride it. Doesn't look all that spectacular but it works great as long as there isn't much of a crosswind, 'cause it's narrow. Problem is, they're all going to have to be relatively narrow because the bars are right up in that pocket & if the shield was much wider, the bars would hit (with stock bar & riser anyway). Road Glides can get by with that big wide wraparound shield 'cause the faring sticks so far out in front that the bars aren't right there. Looks like the Klockwerks shield is more squared off at the top with less taper, arguably looks better and likely will work better in crosswinds. Wish it was a little taller but maybe the curve makes it perform like the HD 10", which deflects the wind plenty high for me.

I talked with Clearview months ago too about developing one, they said back then that they were going to be working on one this fall. The Kolckwerks shield might be worth a try but I just hate the idea of a $250 experiment that might not work for me. Will be interesting to get more feedback on this shield though!

Will do. It should be here Tuesday and I'm hoping that I will have time to install it that afternoon. I'm betting that it will work well for me, as I'm only 5'8.

Cali Raised Off-road has developed mounts that allow the use of the Baja Designs headlights with the ST fairing. I think the LP-6 sticks out a little too far, but the LP-4 would be fine. It would even work with a headlight cover if that becomes available. Both of these put out a lot of light. The one thing I notice with the 7" stock LED in my Sport Glide is that it is not doing a good job of illuminating the road. I would have to believe the 5.75 in the ST is no better. Just thought I would throw these options out there.

LP-6

LP-4

So I finally picked up my Low Rider ST on Wednesday and have just put the first 1K miles on it this weekend. The fairing works great for me (5' 8") and there is zero buffeting. Good job HD.

However - the wind hits the top 2 inches of my helmet and it is pretty loud. So I want it raised up about 3" or so. The HD 10" shield would probably work for me, but I don't really like the look of it. I think maybe an 8" or 10" recurve Klockwerks screen would be ideal, but they don't have one yet.

I am going to play around with an MRA screen extender that I have anyway and see what happens....

Hopefully, there will be good aftermarket options available soon.

congrats on your purchase. You say no buffeting but you say you have loud wind hitting the top of your helmet ,Is that not the definition of buffeting?

Not to my mind. Buffeting is when it shakes your head around - i.e. non-laminar airflow. My airflow is laminar, just noisy.
