Why, air cooled motorcycles have been in parades for longer than we've been alive. I've seen water cooled cars and trucks over heat in parades. But never an air cooled motorcycle.

EITMS has been around a while. I don’t know whether it actually helps much with rear cylinder cooling, but when I lived in Houston with high heat and humidity I always used it. I’ll probably activate it this spring when the temps start coming up here in North Texas.

What if they called it; "stuck in traffic barely moving damn it's hot...mode"?

My understanding is that it's more for rider/passenger comfort than it is for "saving" the engine from overheating. I've never activated mine and never felt the need, either.

It sure doesn’t sound good idling if your bike has a cam.
